Picasso Kids : Applying Skills, Finding Voice

A program for ages 9–12 that builds on foundational art skills and supports creative decision-making through more advanced projects.

Class Description

Picasso Kids is for students who are ready to plan, reflect, and create with more purpose. In this class, we help children apply what they’ve learned in earlier years and begin making more detailed and expressive work. Projects are designed to build real drawing, painting, and composition skills while also encouraging students to develop their own creative voice.

We use a wide variety of materials—including pencils, markers, watercolor, acrylic paint, ink, and collage supplies—to explore topics such as character design, still life, color theory, poster layout, and storytelling through images.

Teachers demonstrate techniques clearly and guide students through multi-step projects. Students are encouraged to make thoughtful choices and complete their work with pride, even when the process feels challenging at first.

What Materials Are Used ?
